Hiring process

Here are some of the steps you typically can expect to go through when you apply for a job at Ørsted.

When you find an open position you would like to apply for, you must apply online. In the top corner of each job advert you will see a ”Send application” button. If you click this button box, you will gain access to our application portal. From here there are 4 simple steps to get your application on its way to us.

How to apply

1. Create profile

Here you can enter your personal details. This creates your profile, which you can return to at any time should you wish to change any of your details.

When you are done, click on ”Save & Next”
2. Upload personal documents

Here you can upload your CV, cover letter, education certificates, photos or any other document that you feel is relevant for your application. Click on ”Save & Next” to continue.
3. Review and send application

Get an overview of the information you have entered, including your attached documents. Click on ”Show entire application” to see a full overview. If you are happy with what you see, click on ”Send application”. If you want to change something, you can return by clicking on ”Back”.
4. Confirmation

When you have submitted your application, you will shortly after receive an email confirming that we have received your application.

Steps in the hiring process

Application

Applications can only be sent online using the link available in the job advert. You will shortly after receive an email confirming that we have received your application.

Please be aware that Ørsted does not accept unsolicited applications.

Register with our job agent to get notified regarding relevant positions.
Invitation to interview

If we are not in the process of continuous recruitment, we will go through the applications immediately after the application deadline has passed. You will be informed as soon as possible if we feel your profile matches the role you applied for, and we will call you in for an interview.
The interview

Among other things, the interview will help us to match each other’s expectations and give us a chance to get to know you as a person. We will focus on your professional and personal qualifications, what you expect from the job, what the job involves and introduce you to Ørsted's culture and values. Depending on the job, you may be invited to come to more than one interview with us.
Tests

In order to find the right candidate, we often use personality and aptitude tests. Tests do not give a complete picture of you as a person but we use them to supplement the information you give us in your application and through the interviews. You will always be given a chance to comment on any tests and provide further input.
Pre-employment screening

Please be advised that all UK based roles are subject to pre-employment screening, conducted by a third party.
